Beat Industry Presents ROCK BAND

Bring 2010 In With A Bang!

January next year Beat Industry is running their first ever ROCK BAND Clinic.

Starting on Wednesday the 6th January, students will be given the opportunity to form their very own groups, learn some of the greatest songs in music history, rock out as a live band and even have their performance recorded.

Key Features:

-3 Sessions, covering everything an awesome rock band should know.

-Get the full band experience, from Rockology, Auditioning to Performing.

-Perform "Live" in front of an audience.

-Learn some of the greatest songs in Rock history.

-Have your band recorded.

-Get lessons, advice and tips from seasoned Rock Muso's. You'll even have the opportunity to perform with them.

-Dates: Wedneasday 6th, 13th and 20th January 2010.

-Each session goes for 2 hours, from 5:00pm - 7:00pm.

-Only $45 for all 3 sessions ($15 for each session, per person).

-Bring along a new friend to Beat Industry and you'll both get the 1st session half price.

Event: Drum Clinic with Rolf Wam Fjell (Hillsong)

Details: Rolf Wam Fjell is best known as the drummer for Hillsong Church Sydney. Originally from Norway, Rolf has been living in Australia for the past few years, studying at the Hillsong College and playing drums in the Hillsong worship team. During this time Rolf has appeared on the Hillsong albums 'For All You've Done', 'God He Reigns', 'Saviour King', 'This Is Our God' and recently 'Faith+Hope+Love' which charted at number 1 on the Australian charts.

Rolf shares his experience of playing in the Hillsong worship team as well as giving practical advice on practice, technical aspects of drumming and working in a team.

Although the clinic will be largely drum focused it will be beneficial for all musicians, especially those who play in the worship team at their local church.

Rolf will also be available for a limited number of private drum lessons on the day.

Group Drum Classes

Beat Industry is currently accepting registrations for group drum classes to start in October.

Two classes will run:

*Introduction to Drumming (for beginners)

*Drum Rudiments Intensive (for drummers with previous experience)

Introduction to Drumming

Classes meet weekly for 10 weeks and will cover correct stick grip, theory/basic notation, basic rudiments (rolls, flams, paradiddles), simple coordination and timing and preparation for additional private lessons.

Drum Rudiments Intensive

Classes meet weekly for 10 weeks and will cover the 40 Drum Rudiments in detail, hand technique, practice routines and drum kit application. Perfect addition to private lessons.

Currently registering for Saturdays 3rd October - 5th December.

Introduction to Drumming 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

Drum Rudiments Intensive 1:00 PM - 2:00PM

Cost for the ten week course will be $150.00 (non-refundable)

The last few weeks have been exciting with the addition of new brands to the store and the expansion of existing lines.

We have just been appointed the Spector Bass dealer for the Central Coast. These basses are so nice to play and they also look amazing.
